Employment Verification Law

Effective January 1, 2007, the Colorado employment verification law (8-2-122, C.R.S.) requires private and public employers to retain an affirmation and copies of an employee’s identity and employment authorization documents for employment eligibility purposes. For more information:

The Division of Labor will investigate employers who are not complying with the Employment Verification Law and contractors and subcontractors not complying with the Public Contracts for Services and Illegal Aliens Law. If you wish to make a complaint you must fully complete the form(s) below and submit to the Division.
